Clinical history:
15 years old, female, ballet dancer. Six months ago forced plantar flexion during dancing. For several months continuing pain at plantar flexion RIGHT ankle, situated posteriorly. Slight ankle swelling. The pain eases at rest but returns immediately when she tries to dance again.


Possible answers
  • Fractured Stieda process
  • Posterior impingement
  • Sinus tarsi syndrome
  • Osteochondral talar lesion
  • Peroneal tenosynovitis
