Clinical history:
A physically very active (gym), non-smoking, 52 years old male in excellent health, complains of cough with about three weeks duration. On several occasions, he coughed up mucus and blood with episodes of severe hemoptysis. He has no fever or increased inflammatory parameters. Due to a car accident, he had been examined with a chest CT eight years earlier.
